I first went to the University of California at Riverside then transferred to the University of Califoria at Irvine. My major is Chemistry. I have not conferred my Bachelor of Science degree but can assert that I have reached a competency level of an Associates Degree in Chemistry. I like mathematics and almost changed to be a mathematics major but decided to stay with chemistry.
Experience
Why do I want to be a teacher/tutor? I quote "Those that know do. Those that understand, teach." My mom instilled in me the passion to teach - she being a teacher and a preschool director. In a classroom setting, your child or young adult can get lost in the crowd, but as a tutor i can offer individualized one to one private lessons catered toward the subject they need help with. I am an experienced tutor and I consider myself, a pedagogical expert. I also tutored at two other previous private corporate tutoring companies. Having tutoring experience is important, there I learned to be patient and understanding. Going slowly and steadily is the best method to teach. I simplify the most complicated systems into bit size morsels that the student can digest and gain understanding of how the complex can be made simple. Nothing is more rewarding than seeing a young student have a "Eureka" moment, when the light bulb goes inside their head and they understand a topic that I conveyed to them. Not only do I teach but I inspire students to enjoy studying and they seek knowledge for themselves and become better students and better citizens in life. I instill confident in their studies and confidence in school. That is why it is my goal to be a university professor with a PhD - the highest level of education one can achieve. I want to leave a legacy for myself and my students.
